Pamela Lawson has been the recipient of 23 journalism awards (four of which were staff awards*).

The first, second and third place recognitions were awarded by the Colorado Press Association, the Society of Professional Journalists and LCNI (in Kentucky).

Judges for the CPA awards are assigned each year to professionals from different states.

The wins, in the weekly divisions, included the following categories: Best Story-Picture Combination; Excellence/Best Feature Writing; Best Deadline News Reporting; Excellence in News Writing/Reporting; Investigative Enterprise Reporting; Best Business Story, Best Series, A Reader and Best Agriculture Story.
